What can you do to help?

If you suspect a child is being abused, the child must be protected from further abuse. Call your local Child Protective Service Agency. You'll find the number in the front of your phone book.

To help prevent child abuse, you can:

  • Be a nurturing parent!

  • Help a friend, neighbor or relative if they are having difficulties with their children.

  • Get involved and advocate for services to help families.

  • Volunteer at a local child abuse program.

  • Help to develop parenting resources at your local library.
