Healthy Families is based on a nationwide model of voluntary home visitation
services designed to help expectant and new parents get their children off to a
healthy start. The program promotes positive parenting and child health and
development, thereby preventing child abuse, neglect, and other poor childhood
outcomes. This program is designed for families needing the most intensive level of
home visitation and the longest duration of service. For more information about this
